That’s My Reflection On That Shiny New Honda I will forever feel like buying a new car is a complete racket.  That said, I think Adam and I did fairly well holding our own in the Honda dealership yesterday.  At one point the sales guy told us he had to call the owner of the dealership before he could agree to our offer.  I’m almost 100% certain there wasn’t anyone on the other end of that telephone.  Sharks.

Perfect Fall Day Adam, Kaya and I drove up to Fort Sheridan today.  The sky was blue, the trees were vibrant, the homes were huge, and the sea gulls were a big tease.

DWPaG It’s funny that yesterday I was worried about Driving While Taking Pictures because today while on the Kennedy I literally saw someone DRIVING WHILE PLAYING A GUITAR.  I only got a quick glimpse of this guy.  He was driving a white van with a ladder on the top, which makes me think he is a roofer or a painter or a guy who works construction.  Whoever he is, I know one thing for sure…  he doesn’t like to waste time in traffic when he should be practicing.  Is this seriously acceptable behavior?

DWTP Taking pictures is probably right up there with texting and drinking on the list of things you shouldn’t do while driving.  Rest assured, traffic was moving so slowly on Lake Shore Drive this morning that I could relatively safely pull out the camera.  Traffic aside, the view of the skyline from LSD always makes me glad to live in Chicago.

New Camera - New Dedication to Blogging… As I was sitting like a lump on the couch this evening, I couldn’t ignore the sound of the wind on our windows.  I decided that I might try my hand at the new camera and a slow shutter speed.  Though I was out for the movement of the leaves, I caught some neat nighttime colors instead.

I was sick and mopey for most of this past weekend, but I did perk up on Valentine’s Day for a lovely dinner made by Chef Hub.  We had mushroom caps, homemade ceasar salad, crab cakes, roasted potatoes, and asparagus.  Adam you outdid yourself.  It was all that much tastier when eaten off our new china with a bottle of wedding wine.
